Clinics and institutes
Gießen Campus of UKGM is a primary care clinic integrating the full spectrum of medical subspecialities and linked to highest standard research facilities of the Medical Faculty of Justus –Liebig University. The full spectrum of opthalmological care is provided at the Department of Ophthalmology.

Special centers
The Department of Ophthalmology provides a long standing expertise in paediatric ophthalmology and neurophthalmological care and research with a dedication in rare and hereditary eye disorders. Interdisciplinary cooperation with several disciplines provides a full spectrum support.

Maintenance
Close links with patient self support organizations provides and promotes patient self-care skills, taking into account their individual physical, psychological and social needs and resources. Caregivers provide or take care of the care as needed. The dignity of the patient and the right to self-determination are thereby fully guaranteed.
