The MPS MasterClass 2026 “From Genes to Bedside: Essential Training for Young Physicians” took place on June 3rd, in Florence.
This intensive one-day masterclass provided early-career physicians with comprehensive knowledge of mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS), from basic pathophysiology to contemporary management strategies. The program focused on clinical recognition, diagnostic approaches, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, while also integrating patient and family perspectives.
Among the distinguished keynote speakers, Giacomo Bacci contributed to both the scientific session focusing on ocular manifestations, and the pre-meeting masterclass.
We thank him for representing ERN-EYE Network at one of the leading international events in the field of metabolic disease and for inspiring participants to further advance the mission of improving outcomes for those affected by MPS.
