Choroideraemia 2024 Congress

To mark the 20th anniversary of the France Choroideremia Association, a congress will be held in Montpellier in May 2024.

This international scientific conference will bring together experts in the field, patients, their families and members of the association.

The aim of the conference is to encourage sharing and the emergence of new collaborations on an international scale between scientists (research and/or clinical) and the patient associations invited.

During the two-day conference, 25 scientists from all over the world (England, France, Germany, the United States, etc.), specialising in choroideraemia, will be taking part.

The day of 17 May 2024 will be devoted to exchanges between scientists on four main themes: clinical, genetic, physiopathology and therapies.

These discussions will be accompanied and supported by Dr Vasiliki Kalatzis, Head of the Vision Unit at the Montpellier Neuroscience Institute (INM), and Professor Isabelle Meunier, Head of the Genetic Sensory Diseases medical team at the Gui de Chauliac Hospital and the Montpellier Reference Centre for Genetic Sensory Diseases (Maolya).

The day of 18 May will be focused on patients, with a presentation of the previous day’s discussions in the morning.

17 and 18 May 2024, Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 105 Place Georges Frêche, 34000 Montpellier.
