The European AI-powered advanced screening centres will speed up the introduction of innovative solutions for prevention, early detection and diagnosis in cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
A flagship of the Apply AI Strategy, these centres will facilitate real-world clinical validation and local performance assessment of AI solutions, generating evidence to support adoption at scale across national healthcare system, including underserved areas.
What is expected from screening centres?
The network is designed for advanced healthcare organisations that are already deploying, piloting or evaluating AI-based solutions – or preparing to do so in the near future – particularly in cancer and cardiovascular care.
By joining the network, screening centres become part of a European community working to ensure the safe, effective and trustworthy use of AI in healthcare.
How can medical centres join the network?
Medical centres can enrol through a call for expression of interest opened on 16 February 2026.
The deadline for application is 10 April 2026.
