ERN-EYE shared a joint booth with several European Reference Networks (ERNs) during the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) 2026 meeting from 13 to 16 June in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Beyond the scientific sessions and meetings, the event highlighted what makes the ERNs unique: cross-border and multidisciplinary collaboration dedicated to improving the lives of people living with rare diseases.
A session of the meeting was dedicated to “Education across ERNs and ESHG”, which focused on strengthening collaboration between the ESHG and the European Reference Networks in the field of rare disease education. The session, in which Prof. Hélène Dollfus (ERN-EYE Coordinator) was among the speaker, presented the educational portfolios developed by both organisations, key collaborative projects such as ERDERA and JARDIN, and encouraged discussion among healthcare professionals and scientists.
