Guillaume Parent joined the ERN-EYE team on 20 January 2025 in capacity of projet manager together with Isabella Vacchi.
He is a senior EU project manager with over 20 years of experience in the private, public and civil society sectors. He organised different campaigns and managed several international networks.
Passionate about Europe and human rights, he worked and studied in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine. Between 2020 and 2024, he was an administrator of the committee on social affairs, public health and sustainable development of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He was in charge of public health issues such as discriminations against persons dealing with chronic and long-term illnesses, securing safe medical supply chains and Long Covid. He is a graduate of the College of Europe, la Sorbonne and Lund Universities.
Guillaume will be involved in all aspects of the management of the EU project for a smooth implementation of the work plan. His first tasks are the launch of the activities on crisis and extreme hazards, including those addressed to Ukraine. He will also be in charge of the national integration activities.
His knowledge of the EU and international organisations will be assets for the implementation of the project.
