Od 1867 roku nasz szpital, zajmujący się kompleksową opieką nad kobietami, dziećmi i młodzieżą, stał się jednym z najważniejszych specjalistycznych ośrodków pediatrycznych w Europie. Nasza opieka opiera się na wielodyscyplinarnej pracy naszych specjalistów.
Za pośrednictwem Fundacji Badawczej Sant Joan de Déu prowadzimy badania w celu znalezienia nowych i lepszych metod leczenia chorób dziecięcych.
Jako szpital uniwersytecki wspólnie z Universitat de Barcelona przyczyniamy się do szkolenia pracowników służby zdrowia. Naszym celem jest nie tylko promowanie i zachęcanie do szkolenia naszych specjalistów w celu poprawy zdrowia naszych pacjentów i społeczności, ale także pogłębianie wiedzy naukowej i ludzkiej.
