De afdeling Oogheelkunde van het Radboudumc is een top tertiair centrum voor diverse oogziekten en een toonaangevend expert op het gebied van de behandeling en behandeling van netvliesziekten. Naast de dagelijkse klinische zorg doen wij onderzoek naar ziekten van het netvlies. De belangrijkste doelstellingen van ons onderzoek zijn het beter begrijpen van de moleculaire basis van deze ziekten en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe diagnostische apparaten en therapieën.
De afdeling Menselijke Genetica van het Radboudumc doet baanbrekend onderzoek naar de relatie tussen genen en ziekten. De patiëntenzorg (afdeling klinische genetica) en genetische diagnostiek (afdeling genoomdiagnostiek) die binnen de afdeling Menselijke Erfelijkheid wordt uitgevoerd, wordt gehost door een officieel en gerenommeerd Centrum voor Klinische Genetica.
