L'Université de médecine de Vienne (en abrégé : MedUni Vienna) est l'un des établissements de formation et de recherche médicale les plus traditionnels d'Europe. Il s'agit aujourd'hui du plus grand institut de formation médicale de l'espace germanophone, avec environ 8,000 26 étudiants. Avec ses 12 hôpitaux universitaires, trois instituts cliniques, 2010 centres de médecine théorique et de nombreux laboratoires hautement spécialisés, il compte parmi les instituts de recherche de pointe les plus importants d'Europe dans le domaine de la biomédecine. Son propre bâtiment de laboratoire doté de « Core Facilities » hautement spécialisés a été inauguré en juin XNUMX avec le « Anna Spiegel Research Building ».
