Rare Eye Diseases display major heterogeneity and represent the leading cause of visual impairment/visual loss in children & young adults. Significant barriers remain for early diagnosis, patient management & research. EU experts decided to join forces in a European Reference Network.

About the ERN initiative



Read now the ERN-EYE position statement published in Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases (Open Access) on the need for widely available genomic testing in rare eye diseases.

The ERN Research Mobility Fellowship funding opportunity opening on March 15th, allow you to get new competences and knowledge in an institution outside of your country.

The first GREET will take place on 26th March 2021 about Medical Retina (including pediatric cases).
