ERN-EYE covers 24 out of 27 EU countries, with 52 full members and 8 affiliated partners, across European Union to guarantee the best coverage of more than 900 Rare Eye Diseases.

Full Members:

Full members are healthcare providers that have been formally accepted and recognized by the European Commission as a core part of the network. These members have high expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing specific rare or complex diseases within their designated area of focus.
Full members within an ERN-EYE actively participate in the network’s activities, which may include sharing knowledge and best practices, collaborating on challenging cases, developing guidelines and contributing to research efforts aimed at improving patient care.

Affiliated Partners:

Affiliated Partners of ERN-EYE are a link to the Network for those countries which do not have a fullmember in a specific ERN thus addressing the concerns related to the geographic coverage of the Networks.
Affiliated partners contributes to the Network’s activities and benefit from their expertise, facilitating the sharing of knowledge across the EU. Most importantly, they acts as entry points to ERN-EYE for patients, improving the accessibility for patients across the EU.
